Overview
Latch mechanism is an electromechanical assembly present in doors in general, including in cars, houses, aircraft, and others.
- The one presented here is based on a ratchet mechanism, allowing motion in only one direction caused by an axis torque.
- The aim of this analysis is evaluating two different electrical motors triggered by a remote key that provides a voltage to open the latch mechanism.
This model demonstrates the following concepts:
- How to model a Latch mechanism using Inspire Motion.
- How to model an electrical circuit using Block diagram using Activate.
- How to integrate the electrical system through the mechanical utilizing a Closed Loop using Activate.
- How to run a co-simulation between MotionSolve and Activate.
