Random Response Analysis Extension

Overview

This extension aims to provide a simplified random response analysis tool more similar to SimSolid than the current process workflow tools. It uses a unit frequency response analysis results in combination with a power spectral density curve to produce contours and plots for simple random analysis.

Pre-Requisite

The tool requires an H3D result file from a direct frequency response analysis where responses are indexed by frequency (example .FEM setup and H3D results included in extension). The tool also requires a power spectral density curve in the form of a label-less .CSV file (example also included). The extensions uses Altair Compose to do the actual math so valid install 2022.1 or newer is also required.

Usage/Installation Instructions

Download and unzip the folder then use the Hyperworks extension manager to add it to your ribbon manager.

Post-Requisite

Quickly and easily generate output power spectral density plots, root mean squared values, positive zero crossing values, and continuous rms plots in the form of .CSV files. Also generate root mean squared contours, phase dependent magnitude rms contours, and Segalman Von Mises rms contours consistent with OptiStruct random response analysis results. Thumbnail
