Overview
Jaw Crushers are used to reduce the size of different types of materials in many applications. They are commonly used in mines to crush minerals before shipment. The material is crushed between a fixed jaw and a moving jaw. The breakage of particle happens due to repeated application of pressure.
In this demo problem, a MotionSolve and EDEM co-simulation model is used to:
- Estimate the right feed
- Design motor controllers to handle abuse scenarios
- Predict machine behavior to changes in shape, size and material of objects
- Extract accurate loads for design
