Hello, I am Manjunath an Aerospace Engineering 4th year student from bangalore. For me simulating the things from the idea before building it, feels so exciting. Before when I was not introduced to the simulation software I used to build and then test, and the probability of success was less but after introducing to simulation in my 2nd year of engineering, me and my friends have simulated a delta wing design and tested if it generates Lift and it was success when we built it in real. So, from then onwards I have developed an interest in these software. More over we can save the time and money to build any project.

There was a question about smoothing the path! I was not able to show this step during the webinar - but Nils and I tried some more options - and we succeeded!!

    See the following comparison:

    image

The blue is the original one with steps... and the red the smooth one.

Here is the setup I used:image

Please test the same and work with the low pass filer settings!

One comment regarding the Controller Setting:

The Controller 4 in combination with the model 4 (co simulation) will fully utilize the Observer - the most robust controller. (as correction of what is said in the video at 28:40)

BUT please take care that the settings for the observer (x0_est=...) is exactly enhanced as you defined in the trajectory block!! Please take care that m(:,2)-30000/500 is different to (m(:,2)-30000)/500 - please check your exact formula!

@Rahul Ponginan I'm having trouble with installing Inspire studio. It says "unable to load Evoc_UI.dll" (Screenshots attached). I've downloaded it many times and installed it, but still getting same message. I also updated my drivers (suggested in a community post), but didn't work for me.

    Please help me out.

The brain storming ideas and full access to get complete exposure towards design and simulation behind a real time product that sparks the ignition for creative ideas. Also it will help enhance the practical as well as theoretical knowledge with knowing our depth at best with other competitors from throughout the world wide universities and college

I'm studying Mechanical Engineering in Wrocław, Poland. I'm also doing my thesis based on OptiStruct optimization. That's how i got to know about the contest.
Software technology used in Digital Twin seems to be perfect for some simulations and prototypes. Great that they included arduino in it, I often use it with my mechatronics projects.
Additional thing that interested me in contest is fact, that these software like Altair Inspire Studio connects two aspects of two interesting programs I use: Engineering of CAD programs with realism animations from VFX programs (like Blender, which I use for my hobby projects).
I'm really interested to dive in and see possibilities of those technologies.

    Hi everyone !
I am a PhD student in Mechanical engineering at the University of Haute-Alsace in France.
This contest allowed me to discover with great enthusiasm new software from Altair. I am already familiar with Hyperwork since I use it in the practical work that I teach in finite element. Beyond software, the digital twin of the ball balacing table is a complet and awesome mecatronic project. It’s a pleasure to be part of this community
