In this webinar, some of the new enhancements introduced in SimLab 2022 for structural solutions are presented.

To define equivalent material of PCB a new approach has been introduced to consider PCB as composite shells and significantly reduce the size of the model.

Loads and boundary conditions for Heat Transfer analysis such as convection and heat source can now be time-dependent. This is particularly useful for electronic applications where thermal loads often vary in time.

During fatigue analysis Life is automatically calculated from creep strain results by using Coffin-Manson equation.

A new solution has been introduced to enable users to predict the acoustic performance of e-Motors by considering electro-magnetic forces.

For drop testing, new features like the support for honeycomb materials have been added to extend the range of applications supported by SimLab.

Lastly, a lot of effort went into the improvement of post-processing capabilities. For instance, users now have access to additional stress and strain components that are calculated directly by SimLab from solver results. Several averaging options have been added for nodal results and deformations of bodies can be displayed without contour. Thanks to these new capabilities, users can better understand the behavior of their systems and then make the right decision during the design process.
