Error in shape optimization

 am doing a shape optimization of some holes in a component.My optimization always stops with an error message 'Error in Element quality check' .

Present holes are of dimension 10 mm. when i change it in to a 8 mm hole i am getting some results, but when ever i want to change it in to 5 mm i get the error message. according to requirement i have to vary the holes up to 5 mm from 10 mm.

is there any way to do this.

Changing the size of that hole may affect the quality of the mesh based off of the given element size parameters. There is a way to work around the element quality check. In the analysis page, go to the control cards panel. In this page scroll to the page that is labeled PARAM and select it. Scroll down to CHECKEL and check the box next to it. It should prompt an option above. Change the option from yes to no. This will skip the element check feature for the optimization
