Why can't I import standard ".cur" Ls-Dyna time history data

I am currently being forced to use OASYS's D3PLOT and THIS, because Hyperview is neither

Able to import automated output files in the standard Ls-Dyna ".cur" format

Nor

Calculate 3ms clip values identical to those calculated in OASYS's THIS

Note this is long standing request (10+ years) and no-one has really explained why this blind spot cannot be fixed

There would be an huge uplift in my efficiency if this issue could be addressed

    Hello Mr. Coomber,

as mentioned in the separate support ticket:

new developments are always decided and prioritized on the available resources and development plans. Therefore unfortunately it cannot be guaranteed, that all requests can be solved in a timely manner. Sorry for the inconvenience!

I have re-introduced your request to our development through an internal ticket.

As mentioned in more detail in the separate support ticket, a Template file can be created to at least read a specific type of .CUR-file (depending on the strings used inside). This  can be registered (File > Load > Preference file) by a preference file. I attached a generic example. The key are the 2 qfind commands that look for strings in the CUR-file, the last qfind directly in the ine above the curve data.

On the 3ms question  I asked you for more info in the support ticket, to evaluate any issue. So far no problem with the clip function is known to me.

    I hope this info helps!

    Regards,
    Sebastian Karp

    to add this info:

you could also delete all the header blocks of each curve in the .CUR-file (maybe by script), then HG can read it by using another existing column reader.
