Hello,

I have two questions about the coupling of Ansys Fluent and EDEM

1) What is the latest version of Ansys Fluent that can be coupled reliably with the latest EDEM version? I read in this post https://community.altair.com/community?id=kb_article&sysparm_article=KB0117663&sys_kb_id=d0ce33751b816dd0c4dfdbd9dc4bcbbd&spa=1 that Fluent version 2021 and later can be used. If so, Is this valid for both Linux and Windows version of the coupling?

2) The EDEM-Fluent tutorials all use dense discrete phase model with Eulerian-Eulerian approach.  Is the single-phase model of volume of fluid (VOF) model is also allowed to be used in the EDEM-Fluent coupling?

Thank you!

    Hi Mahdi,

You can use Fluent 2023R1 through the above link and also EDEM 2022.2.  You should also be able to specify the path for the latest 2022.3 release although this isn't set automatically.  This should be valid for both Windows and Linux.
