Segmentation error when importing geometry

Hello, good evening. I'm a student using Hyperworks for my end of degree thesis.

I recently switched versions of Hyperworks, updating from 2022.3 to 2023. I can open the previous .hm files that I had previously done, but when importing a new geometry, the program automatically crashes, stating that a Segmentation error occurred. I have tried multiple geometries and file types, still the same error.

Browsing online I found several solution proposals, involving deleting the settings files on Hyperworks. I have attempted to do so, but the issue is not solved.

Any kind of guidance on how to solve this issue would be really appreciated. Another option may be to download older Hyperworks versions, but the student license only seems to allow the download of the 2023 one. Is there any way to get around this?

There is an issue with the current student version with the cad import reader. It will be updated in the next release.

Is there a workaround? Creating a geomety in Hyperworks is not an option for me, which means I can't use Hyperworks at all.
