Beam shear in S-Concrete
ACI318-19 has changed the requirement for shear calculations which has been incorporated (See table 22.5.5.1). However, S-Concrete only considers the calculation with the shape factor for beams (equation b) and does not use the simple method of 2sqrtf'c (equation a). This significantly decreases the Vc values, and therefore reduces the capacity of beams thus requiring more reinforcement. From an engineering standpoint this will drastically overestimate beam designs. I believe this is wrong. Can someone look into this?

Hi Anthony,
Thank you for getting in touch, and raising this question. You make a valid point, and this is something we will bring to our development team for further review, and consideration in future releases.
