Does HyperLife support LS-Dyna solution files?

Hello.

I sub posted this in another thread however thought i might get more traction in its own thread.

It is noted in some of the HL help documentation that only OptiStruct, Nastran, Abaqus & Ansys are supported however when opening the initial model or importing results files via "Loadcase" the LS-Dyna option is available (as per attached image).

Upon importing LS-Dyna files however it appears no stress data is available as it doesn't show up on model when plotting stress fringe plots.

If LS-Dyna isn't supported why is the option avaialbe in the drop down list?

Can LS-Dyna be converted into H3D via HVTrans and then be usable?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello Richard,

LS-Dyna result files are supported by HyperLife fro SN, EN and FOS analysis type with Times Series or Transient loading. Please check this page for the supported file formats: https://help.altair.com/hwdesktop/hlife/topics/file_management/file_formats_supported_r.htm.
