I am currently working on my master thesis at the otto von Guericke university and use the Multiscale Designer programme to determine the thermal and mechanical properties of a composite material. and in order to be able to interpret the results well, I wanted to know which approaches and models the programme uses in the background to calculate the linear thermal and mechanical properties of the composite material. in a youtube video, which can be found on the Altair channel (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYbmvZbleaA), it was well explained how the mechanical properties are determined. So now I wanted to know how the thermal properties (thermal conductivity) are calculated in the Forward homoginisation in the second step (Linear Material Characterization).
