Inspire Mold

The pressure from the molding solution is the "plastic pressure." If you want to convert this to a specific machine's hydraulic pressure you will need the "intensification ratio" for that injection unit. This can be obtained a couple ways:
1) Machine's maximum plastic pressure (possibly in the machine's manual) divided by the system hydraulic pressure. ... IR = Pplas / Psyst-hyd
2) The combined effective area of all hydraulic cylinders divided by the section area of the screw tip or barrel's Inside Diameter (ID) ... IR / Ahyd / Ascrew
If you really want to match the pressure up the the screw, you need to model from the end of the sprue, through the nozzle tip and nozzle, and into the barrel. You will need to model these as if they were hot runners, but that can certainly be done with Simlab Molding. Inspire Mold might be able to do this as well, but you will probably need to have the flow domain only in that application.
I recommend modeling up to the cushion point if you model into the barrel, but you could model up to the transfer position as that is the end point of the velocity controlled part of the process.
