Dear sir,

I am doing a research on RADIOSS. When the job run for a while, the error message id 42 is shown. It said that "Bus Error" (as the picture attacthed), I google how to solve but the result is not exist.

Please advice me where I can find the meaning of the error or suggest me how to solve that problem. Thank you in advance.

Unfortunately there isn't a simple answer, Error 42 doesn't map to any single problem but is a more general error, having run this far, it is unlikely to be 'your fault' i.e. probably not a modelling error. It may be hardware related or it could reflect a programming error somewhere in the code, (but even then, where this is the case, you usually get the error 42 very early in the run, around first cycle). First suggestion would be to update to the latest RADIOSS version and try there, (2020.1 is latest build) to see if it is any different.

If the model isn't confidential and you can share it here someone can take a look for you to see if it is repeatable on other hardware.

    Dear Paul Sharp,

Thank your for your explanation about this error. I set up the model in 2019 version continuing from previous project, that why I use this version. But from your suggestion and for more efficient, I'll try working on the latest version.

I noticed this problem to support team, and he inform that a compute node on HPC down. I submitted the job again avoiding that node, and it works fine for now.

Please forgive me that I cannot share the model because it's confidential. Thanks for your advice, it is very helpful.

    Your sincerely,
