Penetration Testing is not working with my Hexahedron C3D8 Meshes

I generated a 2D tri-mesh with an enclosed volume. I generated a 3D mesh of a rectangular prism with hexahedron elements, C4D8, that surrounded my 2D tri-mesh enclosed volume.

What I expected is that my block of hexahedron elements would trigger penetration and intersections. I tested this with voxel meshes and it worked. However, I am unable to make this happen when I generate my own hexahedral volume that overlaps and envelopes the 2D mesh I generated.

Has anyone had this same issue or know or a way to make the mesh penetration checker work with what I did?

    Hello @William Kuo_21386 ,

were you able to detect the intersections with your hexa mesh? If not, I would recommend (if you did not do it already) a support case so that we can investigate further

    Best Regards,

    Michael
