The model diagram is as follows:

The first analysis step of the nonlinear statics is used to apply the preload force and the second analysis step refers to the first analysis step to calculate the modal frequencies in the preloaded state.

During the simulation, I changed the stiff_real_val value in the pcont card, but the contact stresses and modal frequencies did not change. I used the experimental modal frequencies as a control. My goal is to get the real value of contact stiffness by changing the value of contact stiffness.

May I ask why the contact stress and modal frequency do not change after changing the values? Which parameters should I change? Also, can I define my own parameters for the tangential contact stiffness, and if so, which parameters should I change?

Best wishes and looking forward to your answers.

i'm wondering if the contact stiffness would actually play an important role in there.

As the local stiffness might change, but it changes in all the contact surface, then the load path is the same, right? Ans as the pretension load is the same, the stresses thus frequency won't be affected just by that.

I've tried an example here, with HARD and SOFT contact and it hasn't change as well the stress distribution.
