MAT9OR SYSSETTING

Hello everyone,

I am trying to model an orthotropic material using the MAT9OR card.

From the Help page for this material card, I can see that NU31 can be interpreted as NU13, through the SYSSETTING.

I tried to create a SYSSETTING card to switch the NU31 field to NU13, however, I cannot find the correct option to choose:

I referred back to the Help page for SYSSETTING, where MAT9OR is indeed listed as an option:

I just cannot find it in my interface. 

If anyone knows what I'm doing wrong, please let me know.

Hi Martina,

Currently, the capability to visualize in HyperWorks under the system settings option is not accessible. However, the solver does support this functionality. Therefore, you can simply insert SYSSETTING(MAT9ORT=NU31) into your file, depending on your preference for NU13 or NU31, and proceed with running the analysis. Attached is the file for your reference. Also, you can see the message in the .out file below.

 NOTE # 2380

 SYSSETTING(MAT9ORT=NU13) is defined, causing the 8th field on MAT9ORT

 cards to be interpreted as NU13 instead of the default NU31.
