Optistruct Usage for newcomers

Hi all,

Can anyone give me the information on which control cards are to be used in hypermesh for basic analysis steps of Optistruct?

Is it same as NASTRAN? I am famillier with NASTRAN solver with HYPERMESH. what are the control cards used for different analysis? Like linear, nonlinear, modal, buckling, thermal etc.

How to start from scratch for Optistruct usage? I am newcomer to Optistruct. I never used Optistruct solver.

Tutorials (other than hyperwork help) if any will give the better understanding of Optistruct usage.

You can change the solution type in the loadsteps panel. This is different from NASTRAN, as there is not a SOL card.

As far as basic analysis goes, the only control cards you need are for requesting output format, which is in one of the tutorials. For instance, HM, H3D or OP2, or all three.
