Here's a high-level summary of the changes in Panopticon 2020.1:
Analytics: You can now make joins on multiple key columns of different data types and display a listing of current filters; both of these have been popular feature request over the past few years. We have also added new calculated column functions, a new time bucket type for monthly data, a new aggregation method, and new special filter parameters.
User Experience: We've made it easier to collaborate with your coworkers on dashboard designs, simplified theme and color palette editing functions, and provided simplified views of logged-in users and workbooks.
Server/Cloud Deployment: We now support automatic import of workbooks into the repository on server start-up, improved support for containerized and orchestrated environments (including Docker, Docker Swarm, and Kubernetes), integrated with OpenAM authentication, and made additional data source statistics available to server admins.
Connectivity: Panopticon now pools all Kx kdb+ connections automatically, allows easy authorization with Kerberized Kx kdb+ environments, and supports multi-record payloads in connections to real-time message queues.
Stream Processing: Clients utilizing Altair units pricing can now use the Streams processing engine at no additional cost, and the Streams Python transform now uses Apache Arrow with a 100X performance improvement compared to Panopticon 2020.0.
