S-FRAME 2022.1 Release Highlights
Code Compliance
There has been a new design code supported, focused on the design of Offshore Structures. This allows users designing offshore structures to take advantage of S-FRAME, and S-STEEL's integrated analysis, and design approach, or use S-PAD for a standalone design check solution.
- S-FRAME and S-STEEL have been updated with support of the American Petroleum Institute's RP 2A-WSD Code, 22nd Edition: Recommended Practice for Planning, Designing, and Constructing Fixed Offshore Platforms-Working Stress Design
- S-PAD has been updated with support for API RP 2A-WSD Code, 22nd Edition
S-CONCRETE now offers Code support for the ACI 318-19 code for beam, and column section design.
This support includes:
- True axial force vs. biaxial moment interaction
- Biaxial shear design
- Torsion design
- Shear and torsion interaction
- Slenderness effects
- Reinforcement ratios and detailing checks
- Crack control checks
- Batch Processing
- Added support for new provisions for transverse stirrup spacing requirements across beam width in S-LINE
S-TIMBER has been updated to support the latest Canadian wood design code: CSA O86-19.
S-TIMBER now allows users to run material take-off, and cost calculations independently of analysis.
Timber Structure Modeling
- S-TIMBER now offers users the ability to convert panel area loads to member distributed loads as per their desired span direction.
- Automatic generation of storeys using the existing structure
- Rigid Diaphragms and Rigid Bodies can now auto-find constrained objects within their local coordinate system
- Users can view panel element labels, ID's and element coordinate system angles
BIM
S-TIMBER allows for import of structures from Revit 2023
Scripting
Improvements have been made to the script editing experience, using Scintilla.
