Noise due to electro magnetic forces i an motor
Hi
I want to find out the noise generated due to the electromagnetic forces between stator and rotor of a motor.
i imported forces from flux and solved a frequency response simulation in Optistruct.
Now I want to find out what is the noise generated VS Frequency of forces.
I have generated ERP results but I am not sure what exactly ERP represents and how nise is related to it.
Colud any one help me with methods of noise calculation rom frequence response analysis.?

Hello Adriano,
I am currently working on this simulation and facing an issue. Can you help me?
Hello Rajesh,
Is your issue in Flux or Optistruct?
Thank you,
Lavanya
Hello Lavanya,
Actually it is dependent. I ran a ERP in optistruct and am getting the below result.
In order to understand the the above curve, I have to understand the output curve(radial and tangential force). Can you help in reading the below curve? what is x axis and y axis mean?
Thanks & Regards
Rajesh MM

From the EM point of view this is the plot of the force on one node in frequency that you can generate in the mechanical context in a constant speed working point computation.
As discussed yesterday, the frequency mainly depends on the speed (if we referring at the same motor).
