Factory Orientation Matrix "Cheat Sheet"?
I am trying to place particles in an EDEM simulation in a certain orientation that is not random. In the Factory menu, the default matrix when "Fixed" orientation is selected is a diagonal line of 1's from the top left corner to the bottom right corner which seems to place the particles on the XY plane parallel to the X-Axis. Are there any general guidelines to get the same kind of orientation on all 3 different types of planes parallel to each axis? For example, two matrices for XY plane, one parallel to X-Axis and one to Y-Axis, two for the ZY plane and two for the XZ plane? Knowing this seems like it would give me enough flexibility without getting too complicated.
Thanks

Hi Jonah
I think this article on Wikipedia will help you: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotation_matrix
Check the 'Basic 3D rotations' in there - I think that is exactly what you might be looking for.
