Hello,
I've seen a lot of post about this error but none was talking about linux version.
I got this error while trying to launch CADFEKO (even launching POSTFEKO, EDITFEKO etc...)image

the thing is I'm on a Linux machine (Ubuntu MATE 20.04) and i checked my license several times and the adress match with the ethernet adress of my computer.

I've tried to follow every tutorials but most of them are about a Windows version, the only way i've not tried is to change the OS on my computer but i can't do it.
Can you help me please ?

    Hi Nicolas,

Unfortunately I'm not familar with license problems on Linux systems, but one thing that seems weird to me is the last line in your picture:

    "License Path: /home/yblasco/Documents/Nicolas/altair_lic.dat:/home/yblasco/Documents/Nicolas/altair_lic.dat"

The path seems to be doubled, I really don't know if that should look like this.

    Best regards,

    Torben

    Hello,
Yes I put the path '/home/yblasco/Documents/Nicolas' as a personnal path to my license file. The tuto told to choose a specific path. Then i saw other tutos talking about the Security folder in the app folder.
Should i reinstall it or is it possible to modify the License file path ?

    Thanks for helping,

    Nicolas

Maybe try to modify the license path and use the Security folder instead.

Do you see "Count" in your license file:

    image

If you see count = some value, then you have a network license which requires a license manager. Trying to use the network license as a standalone license (like what you are trying to do so far) won't work.

    Hello,
I just checked my license and here is the content :

    image

There is no "Count" line, the physical adress is the right one but the software does not seems to recognize it.

Have you tried Torben' suggestion of placing the altair_lic.dat file inside the "security" folder (this is the default directory where Altair applications will look for the license). You may need to update the ALTAIR_LICENSE_PATH environment variable to point to the security folder.

    Hello,
Yes I tried it but no more results. There is the same Error Message : "Feature Not found". Maybe the software doesn't find my file. I tried with no license path and the launcher was looking into the Security folder, where i put the license file.

    Thanks for helping

    HI,

The student edition of Feko is only supported in Windows, these three features are sufficient to activate the Feko student edition exe that is supplied in the email with the student edition license,

How did you receive the linux version of Feko? is it from the marketplace? if so that exe will not work with the student edition license file
