The error says, property is missing for hexa elements. Please check whether property is assigned or not. 

I already assigned a property to all components

Pshear is not a valid property for solid elements. Please check and update.

I did edit it as a Psolid before but in that way i would get error #14, even after filling in the E,G,NU & RHO and wasnt sure how to solve that as well. Should i upload this as well or will this explanation work for now?

Hi Eric,

For component LH and RH you have shell elements in them and assigned PSolid property. Change this to PSHELL, assign some thickness. 

Also material named undefined_1 has no data at all. Provide E, G or Nu values. 

I didnt have a undefined_1 as a material in my model. Changed the type and it works now.

But I'm trying to implement it on the other model now, but in this model i have 1 component which is fully constraint, and the other component can still move in y-direction. So they will collide and this will give an impact an the first component. What load step should i use for that?

Is there a tutorial where something like this is also explained?

 

To give a better idea of what i meant, you can see it as two brackets, both glued to a surface which are clashing together because of a given force basically

Since you are saying you want to do something like an impact maybe you can use non linear transient analysis using OptiStruct or RADIOSS explicit.

@Eric HAN  You can try with quasi static analysis type with contacts between the blocks. You can either use enforced motion or load to move the block.

I already defined contacts between both planes of the brackets.

So putting pressure on the block like i showed you on the picture isnt enough or isnt that what youre trying to say?

I followed the tutorial but my model contains an error somehow and cant seem to find the error. Even tried editing some values to see it that would help but sadly it didnt.

I provided the out-file. Perhaps you can have a look at it to see what i'm missing.

I already double checked every value in the load &unloadcurves.

Also an additional question for my other model, in what way should i put in both SPC's.

I got one on the block in the middle and a seperate one for the ones on the right & left side, since they got a different amount of freedom.
I hope you're able to help me again.

The loading and unloading points should be in increasing order. Please check the same.

Do you mean the first model?

I was reffering to the model where i provided you the basic drawing from. The different dof's are also in this drawing, that might give you an better idea what i mean by different blocks /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />

Will check again if the loading and unloading points aren't in an increasing order, will come back after you when i know

I see the Dofs written for respective blocks in the picture and looks fine for me. 

But how to implement more then one SPC inside of the loadstep, or is there another way to work around that.

I checked my model, they are in increasing order, even changed some values from the tutorial.
I assumed that the values written for unloadcurve 1-2-3 should be all 0.[value], is that right?

Two ways:

1) Have a single SPC load collector and apply SPCs in same collector and use the same in Loadstep for SPC

2) Different SPC load collectors>> Use SPCADD to add all spcs and use this SPCADD in loadstep

Should i provide the model for the tutorial so you would be able to check if i made some error which i didnt spot?

Will try to go with the second way. If that won't go as planned i can always go back to the first way /emoticons/default_smile.png' srcset='/emoticons/smile@2x.png 2x' title=':)' width='20' />
