hello

I am working with a large assembly I want to perform Frequency response analysis on this large assembly

so can i use Submodeling approach for this to save my time and concentrate on a particular component in assembly?????

i googled the topic i found that submodelling is mostly related with Free body diagram so is it possible to capture the stiffness of other component?

and use Submodeling for modal or Frequency response analysis????

    Hi,

SUBMODEL (only works with linear static subcases)

    Regards

    Hi Sagar Desai,

If you are not talking about SUBCASE specific submodelling, then yes you can use Meshing submodelling approach for FRA. But I would suggest you to go through few already existing papers and projects.

What I got to know is using submodelling will anyway reduce the computing time but this will introduce artificial high frequencies. So, validating results is up-to you (Analyst).
