Shape Optimization

Hi,

Im doing a frequency optimization and I like to find the Optimum height of my designspace. For that I Setup Shape optimization which should change the height of the Space in a few steps with a discret value to find this Optimum.

Because the Elements distort, I activate remeshing, but anyhow I get this Problem:

*** WARNING # 7351
The optimization process is terminated due to excessive mesh distortion.
Please check the .HM.elcheck.cmf file for a list of distorted elements.
If the final design is not satisfactory, it is recommended to remesh it
to improve the mesh quality, and perform a second stage optimization.

 *** WARNING # 7405
Remeshing failed to prevent mesh distortion. Please consider reducing shape
change through smaller design variable bounds or an improved initial mesh.

Does anyone know whats the Problem?

And how can I Setup a constant increment for the changing of the height in Shapeoptimization? At the moment I use move limit and ddval but I think they dont set a constant changing value.

    Hi @B. Foerster

Did you include DOTPRM>> REMSH in the deck?

If not, can you please include the same which will remesh the model in the background whenever optimization runs into element quality error.
