Simlab Query

Hi there,

I am using Simlab for over 2 years. So far I did not have problem with the import/translate of the file.

But now we started to use this software also here in Prague and the translate - Catia to Parasolid does not work. If I preread somewhere else and than reread it again, it works because there is this x_t file. Could you please help me, as what I should be doing? If we have license to use Simlab on Linux workstation, can we also run it on Windows?

Thank you in advance for your help.

    Hello Zbynek,

This seems to be a translator issue.

As a workaround you can try Catia to step & then step to parasolid file.see attached screenshot.

    Hi George,

please notice that starting with SimLab 2017 you'll have the possibility to have direct access to CATIA CAD files without CATIA installiation and without translation into parasolid/step

    Hi Alessio

Parasolids are use in all the tutorials I've looked at and appear to be best wrt the geometry and meshing adjustments within Simsolid. Where are parasolids created ie which software outputs them? Is there a way to generate them from Catia in Simsolid?
