Can EDEM run the mutiple simulations all with coupling sever?

Hi guys,

I run the simulation with coupling sever, can I just open mutiple EDEM windows with different *.exe coupling server.

    Yes, you can run multiple coupling simulations but I suggest do one after other simulation.

    Hi Raheem,

    Just to add, although it is possible to run multiple instances EDEM coupled to whatever, there is no way to specify which EDEM instance you are connecting to.

    If you launch two EDEM sessions and start the coupling server on both, there's no way to force the third party application to choose one version of EDEM over the other. I don't know what coupling you are using or if you are writing your own application but you can specify the IP address of the machine running EDEM in the connectCoupling( ) function which, for now at least, is the best you can do.

    So while it's possible, as Prasad says it's usually better to do one coupled simulation at a time.
