Hey,

how can I extract COG, Moment of Inertia and Mass as an output by running a static solution in optistruct?

Thank you in advance.

You can get these infos by using hypermesh panel post>summary

Browse for some template files in os summary folder

    Hello Tinh,

thanks for the quick reply! I can do that, but I need to get them as output of the simulation. Is there a way of doing that?

    I think yes

Try searching an output card in os reference help

    hello tinh ,

I am facing a problem in assigning names for my geometry . is it possible name surfaces in hyper mesh, because I need to import my mesh file in Ansys-fluent where I can't name surfaces in the imported mesh. i tried creating components and then-organizer-components-collectors-surfaces-destination(my name)- move. but then on the left bottom, a notification is coming like ' organize entities'. can you please help me to find where I went wrong. I am just a beginner in the hyper mesh.

    sorry for the inconvenience.

I am facing issue while naming the surfaces for further solving in Ansys. after meshing the surfaces, I have to assign boundary conditions to the surfaces . for example a wall, inlet, etc. how can we do that in hyper mesh

    Hi Tinh,

Thank you once again but I cannot seem to find anything that will output everything I need... The K, M and V matrix are not a problem, but I would also like to get the Moment of inertia tensor, the COG and the total mass as output. Is this possible?

    Thanks!

    Hi @MMarzana

Please add MASSPROP and check if that helps. Go to Control cards>> OUTPUT>> MASPROP to output CoG and MoI based on properties.
