Continuing a NLSTAT subcase in a DTRAN subcase

According to the documentation it should be possible. ("Subcase continuation between Nonlinear Transient Analysis and Nonlinear Static Analysis is also supported")

But by linking the loadcases by using CNTNLSUB I get an error message. Also the documentation of CNTNLSUB says that it only works for subcases of the same type...

How do I make it right?

    Hi Andreas Marks,

For your situation, the CNTNLSUB should be effective. Could you kindly paste the complete error message here? I have tried it on a sample model, and it is functioning correctly for me. Please review it and share your observations.image

    Error message:
     *** INFORMATION # 1737
SUBCASE 3: override ANALYSIS type with DTRAN    (from NLSTAT).

     *** ERROR # 1999 *** in the input data:
In SUBCASE 3: card CNTNLSUB references wrong type SUBCASE 2.

    Solution:

I forgot TSTEP and I changed the TLOAD type to LOAD (from Accel even tough I do apply an acceleration)

--> seems like the error message has nothing to do with my issue?!

Hope the model is running fine now. Here are the references for selecting the load type option under TLOAD for dynamic load application.
