hi,

i`m trying to do a tensile-test like model

I`ve followed the tutorial example, but I used my model (I`ve imported the elements)

When I launch the radioss analysis, the program shows:

''error id : 54 error in input format

in block 100180 100188 101987 ... 102306''

a  lot of times

Error is because of Rbody master node.Check same in model checker.see attached screenshot

Please update the element types.Choose element types and select 1d and 2d elements and update it so that this error can be sorted out.

Hi, thank you so much for your help

I've changed element type in rbe2, but now I've got a new error ERROR ID 804 - ERROR IN RBE2 ELEMENT DEFINITION (MASS)

Sorry, I'm new with RADIOSS and I have some difficulties.

I've meshed my component (a bracket) with shell elements; the component is clumped with bolts , so I create rbe2 elements.

I've succesfully done a static analysis; now the bracket should be tested in lab and I'd like to do a large displacement analysis with radioss.

I've followed the tutorial, but I can't fix the problem with rbe2 elements. What options do I hve to thick? Is rbe2 correct or should I use rbody?

    Thank you so so much

    Enrico

    thank you so much!

In the end, I have a question, please: I also tried to change elements in rbe2 instead of rbody (I had to delete the elements and create new ones) and I've got similar results.

What is the difference between rbe2 and rbody?

RBE s are Rigid Body Elements. These are basically used to connect a single node to multiple nodes.

RBE2 formulation consists of one independent node and one or more dependent node(s). The dependent node(s) follow the motion of the Independent node in the degrees of Freedom that have been linked. These elements are useful to welds  two dissimilar meshes.  RBE2 elements induce stiffness to the model.

RBODY is also defined by a master node and its associated slave nodes. Mass and inertia can be added to the initial master node location.
