Composite Free-Size Optimization
Altair EmployeeI just recently started with Optistruct and am having difficulty with setting the constraints I want. I am attempting to do a free-size optimization on a PCOMP composite. I want to set a constraint for my composite failure index with an upper bound of 1 but when I try it first tells me to set the stress constraint in the design variable, which doesn't accomplish what I am trying to do. Does anyone know a solution to this or way around it? Thanks!

Altair Employeerun the freesize and then constrain the composite failure in the size optimization. that works. but you have to adjust the upper bound of the size variables.
composite failure response is not available for free-size optimization currently.
