Composite Free-Size Optimization

I just recently started with Optistruct and am having difficulty with setting the constraints I want. I am attempting to do a free-size optimization on a PCOMP composite. I want to set a constraint for my composite failure index with an upper bound of 1 but when I try it first tells me to set the stress constraint in the design variable, which doesn't accomplish what I am trying to do. Does anyone know a solution to this or way around it? Thanks!

    composite failure response is not available for free-size optimization currently.

    run the freesize and then constrain the composite failure in the size optimization. that works. but you have to adjust the upper bound of the size variables.
