Output Transformation Matrix for Craig Bampton Superelement

Hello,

I am creating two Craig-Bampton superelements and couple them in an another model to solve a transient analysis. After I obtain the solution, I need to return to physical domain, i.e., I need to expand my system again to get the responses in selected interior nodes by using Output Transformation Matrix (OTM - which is basically CB Transformation Matrix).

Of course, one way of doing it to have boundary nodes at the desired output locations and use them directly. However, is there any way to expand the system to get the responses at selected interior nodes?

Thank you.

    Hi Ilhan,

    I think you are asking about results recovery.

    In reduction run, you can use cards below to enable it. It's only available for h3d format.

    DISPLACEMENT(H3D) = ALL
    STRESS(H3D) = ALL
    MODEL = ALL,ALL,NORIGID

    I also attached a tutorial for you reference in this reply.

    Thanks and best regards.

    Hello Xiaolei,

    Thank you for your explanation and tutorial. This is really helpful. I have yet another question. I also obtained reduced load matrix. I want to use this in transient analysis. I input the matrix by using P2G option, but it was not considered in transient analysis.

    In short, is there a way to use P2G (reduced load) in transient analysis?

    Thank you, sincere regards,

    İlhan
