Different User Interfaces for AcuSolve

Hi all,

I am new in Altair-Software and want to perform Gas Flow Simulation in pipes (Compressible CFD Analysis). 

Apparently there are 4 different User Interfaces for AcuSolve, namely; HyperWorks CFD, SimLab, HyperMesh and AcuConsole.

I would be grateful, if someone could explain the difference between them and tell me for my case which one is better.

    If you are new to the Altair suite of products, I would probably recommend HyperWorks CFD - with integrated pre- and post-processing.

    AcuConsole and HyperMesh are legacy interfaces and not being developed any more. That implies both will not support latest AcuSolve features (e.g. coupling with EDEM). 

    The default interface for AcuSolve is HyperWorks CFD. This the user that more CFD/AcuSolve users should be using. It has the maximum support for AcuSolve features. HWCFD is also focused on CFD workflow.

    SimLab is the multiphysics platform, with AcuSolve being one of the solvers. So in case you wish to go between different solvers e.g. Flux > AcuSolve > OptiStruct (mapping heat sources or Temperatures respectively) then SL is the appropriate choice.
