Non-linear quasi-static analysis
Hi everyone,
I am modeling a tensile test with Optistruct by imposing displacements. After the analysis, the stress strain curve does not stop at the ultimate strength, but the stresses of the finite elements go on increasing. Is there a way to ensure the stresses do not exceed the ultimate strength?

Thank you Ivan!
I solved my problem setting the plasticity curve of TABLES1 from strain 0 to 1. So the elongation goes on, but stresses stay on ultimate strength.

try the MATF material card, but element deletion is currently not supported:
