vibration transmissibility

I have a vibration isolation model, as below picture, blue, green and pink part represents shaker table, specimen and constant mass, respectively
I would like to assume blue and pink component as rigid how to perform it ? and Do I need to assign a material card to these components?

Hi,
If you want to assign a component as a rigid body you have 2 options :
- Choose Young modulus too high,
- Use rigid element.

how to use rigid element?

For rigid element no need to define property. For constant mass component create CG and connect Specimen/Constant mass component with RBE2 to the CG of constant mass. You could use CONM2 for concentrated mass.

hey moderators,
I have built a new model
in this model, top and bottom plate is composed from shell elements and these component is rigid.
do I need to assign more material to these components?
