How can I export to .INP file from HyperMesh 2024?

Hi, I have meshed a 3D thin solid steel panel, using "thin solids". I want to export to Abaqus but there is no option for that in newer version of HyperMesh. Please help.

    Hi Boboyka,

You can export it by clicking on File-->Export-->Solver-deck (select "save as type=inp") and export.

If you are working on Abaqus profile then from the begining you can keep the interface as Abaqus.

For that you need to Click on File-->Solver Interface.

    Thanks

    Rajashri

Hi, yes that's what I would expect from HyperMesh however there is no option of "INP" in my HyperMesh.

    See https://prnt.sc/YRECkrTF8X9A

Note that from start I chose ABAQUS interface and ABAQUS solver as well.

Should I export using "File-->Export-->Custom file" and type .inp at the end ?

Really ? I have downloaded and done 48 hours worth of educational work because it said that there was no limitations on student version of hypermesh. Please tell me it is available in student version otherwise it's a really bad experience with altair product for me.

Let me verify this with our team and confirm. I am also not aware of what is supported in student version. So do not assume anything for time being and have trust with Altair product.

It is confirmed that the student edition of HyperMesh is only restricted to Altair solvers. So if you want to avail the other solvers you need to buy the license.

There is nothing to loose trust. It is all about License. As the student edition is available to all, Altair supports only their solvers. What analysis are you working on? Altair Products have capability for various simulation which you can do by using student license. Let me know on this.
