3D three phase transformer simulation

Hello Everyone
thanks for your help so far

I wanted to ask about the berttoti equation used by Altair to calculate the total iron loss in the 3D example in Flux. i used the formula with the values provided by flux but the answer on the total loss was way higher than what was gotten in the example file which is 37450W approximately. i used the maximum flux density in the calculation which is 1.8T.

my question is why is there so much discrepancy in the result?

i attached a screenshot of the problem image

    Hi Harmony,

For the computation, you used the equation in the picture below :

Do you have periodicity or symmetry defined? If yes, you need to multiply the total iron losses with the repetition factor (periodicity or Symmetry) because Flux will compute losses only for the represented geometry.

    Thank you,
