Good morning

I did contact analysis between a cylinder and a plane. The result is below. Note in the image the wrong strain. My questions is how can I improve this?

Is it plot of plastic strain?

Where are you applying the loads?

From the plot I presume you are apply the loads in the top of the semi elliptical block, is that correct?

You are checking Displacement plot.In result type change Mag to Z axis and check displacement.

Default Optistruct would not give strain as output.

In control card request for STRAIN.Then only you would get strain as output.See attached screenshot.

Create your 'Load step' and then Card edit. There're OUTPUT options.

Could you set Result type to strain and plot results?You have shared displacement plot.

Good morning

My problem is wrong deformation of two solids. you look at the image. near the arrow can be seen overlapping cylinder mesh with meshes of the plan. probably the program does not see well the area of the contact to me determined. can you help me?
