Hello,

I need help the Power Transformer tutorial located on Flux.

It tells me to build the volumes as the figure(1) . but when I follow the steps, it does not build volumes, but it comes out as my figure (2). I am doing this to get familiarize with this software, so I am not sure what is wrong. I tried this several times, and I followed all the steps. Could someone guide me what happened? Is there an error in the tutorial

    Hello Kevin Kim,
The difference is due to the transparency option that you can adjust with a slider at the bottom right of the screen.
In the output window there  are different errors in the geometry like intersections between faces.
In which context you built the geometry?
Normally an assembly available in the modeler can fixes the geometric problems.
In any case if you want to learn more about model building in Flux this is not the right tutorial, is quite old.
You can start to use the modeler context that allow you to build the geometry in an easily way, or import cad in the normal context if you already have a .step file to use.
    Best regards,
    Letizia

    Hello Letizia,

Thank you for your answer. But those are not actually errors, I think its just warnings. And transparency does not affect any of my outcome. I was wondering why the volumes are not made.

Yes, of course you have several geometric errors that don't allow you to have results. About the transparency, as you know is just a visual option.

If you still need help with the model, you could ask; we normally need to check the model to better understand the problem and find a solution.

You can also open a ticket in the support section and we could arrange a meeting to fix the problem in real-time if it will be possible.

    Regards,

    Letizia
