Is it normal that no attributes populate the drop down box on operators like filter?
On operators where I can work on attributes, I was expecting the pull-down
would give me a list of attributes (columns) but the box is empty and I have to type them in one by one. That does not seem normal. Notice there is down arrow but the selection is empty so I have been typing in the column name which is tedious.

Can you check if the option "Validate Automatically" is checked? You can see this in Process --> Validate Automatically in the top menu bar.
