    Hi,

    The best is to use /MAT/LAW65 in Radioss. It’s nonlinear elastic with hystheresis, strain rate dependent, you may also define a plastic region if needed. It is only compatible with shell elements.

    There is also a LAW71, specially developed for NItinol with shape memory, but this one is not very stable actually and I would not recommend it.Hence the good choice is Law65 and I would like to add that law71 is Linear elastic before reaching the yld stress transformation.

    Hi Fily,

     

    LAW 65 is compatible with shell elements. So you may have to use TYPE1 property in RADIOSS.
