mutiple cpu cores in Radioss

hallo everybody,

 

I'm using HW 12 and have already run some analysis (mostly static analysis). I use a Intel i7 3770k cpu with 4 cores and hyperthreading.

 

I use the '-ncpu 8' option when running radioss, to minimize running time. But windows still shows only 50% cpu usage in the task manager. I also tried to use the '-nt 8' option, but it didn't make any difference. My professor in university told me these run options, but doesn't know himself, why the cpu ist only at 50%.

 

Does anybody know, how to get 100% cpu usage when running Radioss 12? Is there some kind of parameter in the control cards maybe?

    you cannot get 100 cpu usage..solver knows how much CPU or Ram to utilise. just because of using nt -8 doesnt mean it uses 8 cpus. Use SPMD card in deck.

     

    Kindly share the<filename> 001.out file.
