Hi,
I have licensing from CHOP, Philadelphia and am a student at Drexel University. When I opened Hypermesh last week, it gave me 'FATAL MENU SYSTEM ERROR'.
An error message 'Menu System Corrupted: New_menu_Item_Ptr called with for unknown entity type.' is popping up.
I tried reinstalling the entire software, but unable to resolve the issue icon_sad.gif

Please help me out with this.

Thanks.

    Prasannaah,

In your working directory, delete the hmmenu.set file and try opening up HyperMesh again.

please locate your working directory by right click on hm icon > properties > start in field, the path in your start in field is the path to your working directory

Deleting hmmenu.set throws up a fatal error saying hmmenu.set file is missing.

    Unfortunately I didn't take a backup.

hmmenu.set must be deleted from the working directory only and not from the installation directory,

please uninstall and delete HyperWorks entirely from your machine and reinstall the software, thanks.
