How to export high DPI picture
Hi all,
I'm trying to export an isoline picture in .png format by using the Project->print view in file. The default picture size is 1280x1024 and this is how is looks.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
This picture is not clear enough in my paper. So I change the picture size to 2560x2048 to try to get a picture of more DPI, but it turns out to be more blurry than the 1280x1024 one.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
My questions:
- Why is it more blurry with a larger picture size?
- Is there another way to export a figure with high DPI?
Thanks!

Hello Qchen,
I really think that the second image is not more blurry than the 1280x1024 one but less bright. It also seems that both images are not exactly the same since the flux lines are a little different. Maybe this effect is due to the echelle.
In fact, what I propose you is to play with different echelles and number of lines to find an optimum in your visualization. You can also choose a picture size “Custom”” in the “printing into file” option and see the results.
Best regards.
