Time Dependent analysis
Good evening all,
Curenty, I am working on a rubber Bushing, where I need to find the stiffness (non linear). The stiffness will change with respect to the load. While modeling I gave rubber material with Non linear properties.
But I am not sure how to apply the time dependent load and get Load vs deflection graph as output. Which Load step type to use for this case? And how to apply the below data and run the analysis?
Time(sec) | Load (N) |
0 | 0 |
1 | 100 |
2 | 500 |
3 | 1000 |
4 | 1500 |
5 | 2000 |
6 | 2500 |
7 | 3000 |
8 | 3500 |
9 | 4000 |
10 | 4500 |

You should consider nonlinear static (maybe it is enough, if the dynamic effects are negligible) or nonlinear transient. And if both cases you can try tload1.

TLOAD1 (altair.com)As the load varies with time. Is it possible to run the analysis with Non Linear static conditions.

You can try Nonlinear Transient analysis.
Refer the below link for a tutorial model.
For direct Transient, you can refer the below tutorial.

I should probably have said nonlinear quasi-static.Parthiban B said:As the load varies with time. Is it possible to run the analysis with Non Linear static conditions.
In a way, time is important if mass of the system is relevant to the response (it might be negligible). if not, you can run with the load varying in pseudo-time (quasi-static).
But you should be safe with nonlinear transient.
