doubt regarding mbd card in optistruct

I am trying to find natural frequency and displacement time graph of a two degree of freedom spring mass system in optistruct. I used eigen card and did normal mode analysis to find natural frequency but for displacement time I am using MBD card. I have defined prbody for m1 and m2 and ground body and used celas1 and applied mass through conn2. Error I am getting is no body for celas element. How to create body for it? Please tell me if there exists any tutorial regarding this

Hi Alekh,

Why do you want to use a MBD entity in OptiStruct for modal analysis?

I think this is not supported for Eigen value problems. You may have to think about remodeling.

No I have used model analysis for finding out natural frequencies but now for getting displacement time graph I am using MBD

Hi Alekh,

I am sorry I did not understand what you are trying to model.

But PFBODY is used for multibody simulation in OptiStruct.
