Material MATX60

Hi,

I am trying to use the material law MATX60 within my model. However I receive an error message, that is probably related to the yet undefined strain rate in my model. I tried to figure out, how to define the correct strain rate using the solver help, but wasn't successful. Can you please advise how to correctly define the strain rate in the MATX60 law? Rename the first attached JPG to *.hm in order to receive my model file.

Hello Viktor,

as helps says: the MATX60 supports data for strain rate dependant material.

This is what TID(1) refers to as you can look up on the help. It says now to those TID(n): 'Strain rate dependent material, at least 4 times, at most 10 times'.
So if I understood it correctly you have to give at least 4 different tables with 4 different strain rates.

You have only one Table (No. 17) referenced. So the problem might be there.

I see three TABLES1s defined in the model.

can you explain what are the tables are (16,17,18)?

which is for pressure, which is material and also I observed the model is following a unloading curve.

can you explain about the model, please.

Hello,

To define the MATX60 law, it is required to give at least 4 different stress-strain curves with corresponding 4 strain rates (= 'velocity' of the strain) in ascending order.

In the model, there is only one stress - strain curve referenced in the MATX60 card without a corresponding strain rate. Therefore the error occurs.

However even a correct MATX60 will not work for the model as it uses solid elements. MATX60 is not supported by solid elements in NLGEOM subcases.
