Clarification on Frequency Response Analysis in OptiStruct

Ahoy!

I was going through the tutorial for FRA in Optistruct using the tutorial file wherein it said I need to free DoF 6 for SPCS.

i would like to know why this particular DoF (Z-Rotational) is chosen to be freed and if there is any relation/ effect if I free or constrain any other DoF for SPC.

Hi Vaman,

I think there will be change in result, never tried but you can request displacement, acceleration for the nodes around and in Z direction to spot the difference.
